There is no snow on the ground where I am, but I would love for some to come and come soon. 'Tis not truly the season until there's a little bit of snow on the ground. There's something so magical about snow, at least for the first 24 hours it's on the ground. Watching it fall in little white flakes can make you feel like you're inside a snow globe and everything is possible if you just believe. 

But the next day, when the cars have driven over it, the dogs have relieved themselves in it, and it has melted a little, it's a nightmare of gray sludge. Your boots get too easily wet and it drives you crazy. But it's all worth it for those couple of hours when you can pretend you're in some Charming Christmas movie like The Holdovers. And then as it gently falls around you, you can gather around the hearth to look at these memes.
